A 9-year-old girl who gave birth to a baby boy last month has become one of the world's youngest mothers.

The baby was delivered by caesarean section on January 27 at a hospital in Changchun, in north-east China, according to the Telegraph.

The girl, who was from the city of Songyuan, was eight and a half months pregnant.

Chinese newspaper the City Evening News reported that both mother and child were well, but her parents had lodged a complaint with police.

According to the Daily Mail, police were trying to identify the baby's father.

In China, sex with a child younger than 14 is classed as statutory rape.

The youngest documented girl to have given birth was a Peruvian, Lina Medina, who gave birth to a boy by caesarean section in 1939 at the age of five.

It's true. There is a pic on her Wikipedia page , which shows her when she was 7 months pregnant. Doctors realised she was pregnant when her parents took her to the hospital and she was already 7 months into her pregnancy. I had read about this case when i was reading a site which makes lists of unbelievable things .

That can only happen, if her twin is in her womb, and it finally started to grow.

The President of PETRONAS, who put PETRONAS into F1, and shaping PETRONAS into what it is now went down to shake hands and say good bye to all (probably not all) PETRONAS employees on his last working day, today.

That's a very good idea. I saw something similar in Malaysia, although it was used only for tourist purposes.

There have been a few older style vehicles doing this but not with that level of comfort.

Glad to see it was tested in Scotland...

...useful as it rains a lot there, even more than Wales - lol

Long, long time ago, back in the XIII century, here in Teruel happened the "Lovers of Teruel" story. (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lovers_of_Teruel).

After the incidents, Diego and Isabel were put to lay together, and they continue like that up till now. Here are their tombs, hand in hand.

Now, every year we try to turn Teruel into a medieval town, representing all the incredible things that happened in that story on the streets, where and when it is supposed to have happened. We all dress with medieval clothes, eat and drink on the streets on our "haimas" (in groups that have to be proven that existed in that age in this town), and, in general, try to live as medieval as possible.

They just finished today and I'm just exhausted. As I was left wanting for more, here are some photos of the event that I wanted to share with you. Hope you enjoy them!

Thanks, glad you like it! Very Happy

Yes, Rus. It is quickly becoming popular. This is a town with 35000 people, and these days we reach 100000 on Saturday... As Teruel is small, that number can't get any bigger (no hotels, no restaurants available), and sometimes turists bring their clothes and stuff for the following year.
